ALLERGY LABEL: Collaboration label of the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation. The label indicates that a product that has been researched by experts and does not contain odorants or substances that would generally irritate or sensitise skin.
The Allergy and Asthma Federation improves the quality of life of those suffering from allergies and asthma by, for example, collaborating with companies whose products or services take into account allergies. Products that are approved for collaboration may not contain constituents, materials, odorants, colouring agents, preservatives or other things that might generally cause allergies. All products in the process must meet very precise allergy criteria which have been drawn up for different product categories. Each product is studied by a specific panel of experts, who expect the products to be presented with written product descriptions, technical specifications, data on the raw materials and other materials and research data as well as samples which are subjected to separate examination. Before the allergy label is granted, several specialists in different allergies and in asthma study the documents and the products.
Products approved for collaboration are distinguishable by the label and the script ”In collaboration with the Allergy and Asthma Federation”.
The allergy label helps consumers choose products that do not irritate or sensitise sensitive or atopic skin or cause respiratory symptoms. The products are always odorant-free. Products marked with the allergy label are suitable for allergic individuals as well as others!
TCF label
The cellulose has been bleached by means of clean oxygen, not using chlorine chemicals (Total Chlorine Free).
Swan label
The Nordic ecolabel, which guarantees the product’s quality and environmentally friendly characteristics.
The swan label has two objectives. Primarily, it tries to guide consumers towards environmentally friendly choices. Secondly, the swan label wants to influence producers to bring to the markets products and services that are produced in an environmentally sustainable fashion, while also being of a very high quality. The swan label imposes stringent criteria for products – criteria that have been created with the environment and quality in mind.
For diapers this means that carbon dioxide emissions and waste products from production are very small, energy consumption during the manufacture is minimised and the product does not contain substances such as odorants, phthalates or formaldehyde, which might be detrimental to health. Moomin Diapers are based on the child’s well-being, not forgetting environmental values. Moomin Diapers are made using only exhaustively researched, clean raw materials and breathable surface materials which meet stringent Nordic environmental criteria and do not irritate sensitive skin. Moomin Diapers are made in collaboration with the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation.
The diaper’s super absorbent core contains entirely biodegradable, chlorine-free Finnish cellulose. The cellulose that we use has been manufactured without chlorine chemicals, using only environmentally friendly oxygen. The wood for the pulp is not harvested from old growth forests.
Moomin Diapers are extremely gentle to skin thanks to their soft, breathable inner surface and fabric-like outer surface. The impermeable leak barriers are also breathable . Pliable ribbing ensures good fit, and the tape fastenings hold the diaper firmly in place.
The Moomin Diaper’s packaging material is environmentally-friendly and biodegradable , made from natural raw materials, which means that you can reuse it as a biowaste bag.
